I don't know if it's because my hormones are out of whack, or because I just had the best ice-cream in the world for lunch, but I got seriously teary when I saw the new US Paperback cover for The Piper's Son by Melina Marchetta. Just looking at it brought back the heartbreak, the joy and the raw emotion I associate with this book.
How incredible is it that a book can do that to you MONTHS after you've put it down?
And despite the countless number of books staring down at me from my shelves, I think The Piper's Son is creeping back into my life for a re-read. I'm telling myself it's cosmic.
I am getting teary now, so I'll leave it at that.

I loved The Piper's Son! I have it on my kindle, but I'm thinking I might go out and get the paperback copy.
