FEARLESS: An Elementals Novella

Synopsis (Goodreads): Being a force of nature doesn’t keep you safe. Hunter Garrity is used to watching his back. The kids at school sense something different about him. And they’re right.

Hunter has powers that have nothing to do with how hard he can throw a punch. Maybe that’s what Clare Kasten is picking up. She’s shy, quiet, and intense, but she’s sought him out. There’s no telling what she wants from him.

But Hunter knows enough to sense a secret when it’s close. And getting close to Clare is a danger he’s ready to face…

-----

I'll admit, I'm not the biggest Hunter Garrity fan. He's always so elusive and mysterious. He also has these ninja-like tendencies to pop-up unexpectedly. Seriously, how does he do that?! But that's beside the point. The point is that after reading FEARLESS, an elemental novella, I've developed a bit of a soft spot for Hunter.

Okay, more like a huge soft spot for Hunter.

Like any good novella, it was wonderful to delve into this character's backstory. While STORM and SPARK left me reeling, I realize now that everything I thought I knew about Hunter was dead wrong. There are so many layers enveloping this broken boy and I can't wait to see how his story develops in Kemmerer's third novel, SPIRIT (May 2013).

Already a fan of Brigid Kemmerer? Come on! Who wouldn't be? Then this e-book is a definite must read! Despite its relatively short length, the novella packs quite a punch. There's a healthy sampling of romance, action and the beginnings of what is sure to be fantastic character development. May can't come soon enough.

Until then, begone all of you! Leave me to my tears...and adult angst.

But where can I buy this awesome book, you ask??

    1. Yeah!! This novella really changed things for me! It's not that I hated him, I was just more focused on the Merrick brothers. This book really helped me understand him :)

  3. HUNNNNNTTTEEER! Seriously, I'm the opposite. I'm a BIG Hunter fan. I love the ninja-mystery boy thing, and I want to peel him like an onion. WHAT IS HE HIDING? WHAT'S HIS GAME? DID HE REALLY LIKE BECCA? AND GABRIEL? AND AND AND.

OMFG I LOVED FEARLESS. The big focus on guns surprised me, but what surprised me more was that, rather than jumping on my normal anti-gun bandwagon, I got it. I wanted to listen. I wanted ot understand, and I BELIEVED him and felt for him. AND OMFG HIS DAD *GLARES*

    ANYWAY. SARAH LOVED.

    1. YES. HE LOVED BECCA. I AM CONVINCED OF THIS.
And if it weren't for the trust issues the two of them now have, I would be sooooo Team Hunter and not Team Chris because seriously - HE TAUGHT HER KRAV MAGA AND HE GAVE HER ROCK BRACELETS. That is the foundation of all the best relationships. True fact. On that note, why is my Krav Maga instructor not as hot as Hunter? *sobs*

    2. Nope. You're both on your own with Team Hunter. I am all about Chris Merrick. Seriously, you don't find it just a LITTLE weird that he just POPS up? There's something going on with him...and I don't know what it is *stares at him suspiciously*

  5. Oooh, this sounds awesome and I love this review. I also love Hunter, and I get the impression I'm about to love him even more.
But on a technical side-note...what if you don't have a kindle/nook? What do you do then?
