Blogspiration is a new weekly meme hosted by GrowingUpYA and Saz101. The meme was created to help spark inspiration among bloggers, readers and writers alike. An inspirational quote/picture/video is posted weekly, on the day of the author's choosing, so that it may inspire creativity, conversation or just a little SOMETHING.
Dearest friends,
Pardon my absence but these past couple of months have been very...um...long. Not entirely bad and not entirely excellent, just an interesting mix of both.
This past weekend, however, has left me on Cloud Nine. I was fortunate enough to be a part of a very special event in New York City and I got the chance to meet a lot of really amazing, interesting and talented individuals.
Anyhoo, it got me to thinking. You know, about life and the ups and downs that come along with it.
Yes, I am (way) beyond thrilled at this very moment but I know (for a fact) that it won't last forever. Sadness is inevitable but I'm learning that it also helps me appreciate the happier moments in life.
Now I don't mean for this to be a depressing post. On the contrary, I hope it serves to remind us to appreciate and enjoy those wonderfully memorable times.

I also hope that what I am trying to say makes sense. It's late and I am not quite sure I can articulate this as well as I can so easily wrap my mind around it :/
Anyhoo, I ran into this great quote on Pinterest (HOLLA!) and I think it sums it up quite nicely (and simply).

So here's to all the happy moments. May we forever keep them in our hearts so that they may fill us with joy and laughter (and that sort of awkward/awesome embarrassment) whenever we need it most!
Also, I've missed you guys like CRAZY!!!

ReplyDeleteI love this. So much. And I believe life has its seasons, and each has good and bad but... I'm so excited for the next season for you, hon. SO excited.
And... I love you. True story ♥
Awww, I like that. Though I hate that you have had sad moments these past months. I guess that is life, as you said. Let's hope these next couple months have more happy moments.
ReplyDeleteI didn't like very much of Perks, but some of the quotes in it are just stunning, and this is ever a favourite! It's so surreal and true to life that a part of you believes in it and a part wants to say "No, that isn't what happens." but it's true, as much as we hope it isn't, it's true. About a fortnight ago I had one of the worst, most paranoia inducing weeks ever, but there were still a few moments of safety and the feeling of finding a small sanctuary amid all the... hmm... "turmoil."
ReplyDeleteI just wish I could've thought of this quote and made that feeling of sanctuary last.
Wonderful post!
I haven't read Perks of Being a Wallflower but that quote makes me want to check it out.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I totally understand what you mean. I can relate to a lot of that right now actually. Anyway, I hope you are finding more of those happy moments. :)
